		<description>DD is the man that whet my appetite for cycling. I can recall a few days off work with the dreaded &#039;man-flu&#039; (Worry not good reader by some miracle I survived) It was back in the day when Le Tour was a very rare treat on the old goggle box and there was the man himself chatting away to me as I lay there on the setee in my hour of need. Good God, I learned more about French wine and cheese in those few days than I had learnt in a life time of drinking and scoffing the stuff.
DD may have his critics but for me he is THE MAN.

I doubt if I&#039;m alone in feeling rather let down by the TV execs when DD was dropped from the front line players. For me Le Tour remains the DD show and it always will be.
